Traver, Audrey Ann
Colonie - Audrey A. Traver (Ruede), 90, went to her Heavenly home on August 1st, 2025.
Born on July 4th, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Beulah Ruede. Audrey graduated from Roessleville High School in 1953. She was employed by the New York Telephone Company in the Accounting Department.
Faith, family and friends were the cornerstones of Audrey’s life. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy and Christ Our Light Church, where she faithfully served on the Alter Rosary Society and as a greeter. She was also a member of the Fuller Road Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for over 50 years. Audrey’s home and family were her greatest joy. Her home was meticulous and a gathering place for all - everyone was always welcome.
Her smile was the brightest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Barry L. Traver. Audrey is survived by her daughters Deborah Willey (Kim), Cynthia Farrell (Jim), cherished granddaughters, Juliana Willey-Thomas (Nikhil), Dr. Lindsey Tosto (Dr. Josh Tosto), Lexy Farrell-West (Chris), and precious great granddaughter Lucy Ann Thomas.
The family wishes to thank the Cedar Unit staff of Schenectady Center for their loving care of our mom. We especially want to thank Audrey’s special friend Theresa for taking mom under her wing.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 at 11:00 am - Christ Our Light, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie. Family and friends may visit at the Reilly and Son Funeral Home, Colonie from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, August 4th, 2025.
