Obituary of John J. Fasciglione
Colonie - John “Jack” Fasciglione, 84, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 9, 2025 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Domenick and Mary Lomonaco Fasciglione.
Jack proudly served in the Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge in 1967. Following his military service, he pursued a successful career in sales, retiring from Saxton Sign Company. After retirement, he enjoyed working as a Starter at Colonie Town Golf Course.
A true sports enthusiast, Jack was a devoted Yankees fan, faithfully following all their games. He also had a love for watching football and golf.
Jack shared 61 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Susan Sowers Fasciglione, who passed away just six months prior. Together, they enjoyed traveling, making annual trips to Myrtle Beach, SC, and both shared a passion for the game of golf. In 1988 Jack achieved a remarkable milestone with a hole-in-one at Ballston Spa Country Club, a moment that filled him with pride and joy. In the summer months, Jack would often drop Susan off at the casino and spend his days at the Saratoga Racetrack, trying his luck with the horses.
Jack was the proud father of Lisa Kois (Michael) and the cherished grandfather of Alyssa and Sydney Kois. Along with his wife Susan, he was predeceased by his brother, Peter Fasciglione and sisters, Eunice Hamm, Florence Reilly and Ellen Hallen. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, with special gratitude to his niece and nephew, Sharon and Tom Scolaro for their unwavering love and support.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 o’clock Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Dr., Loudonville. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the church Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m., prior to the mass. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.
