Obituary of James Saleh

Albany - James Saleh, 94, of Albany died Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Teresian House Nursing Home.  Born in Massena, NY, he was the son of the late Fautin Ramlawy and Moses Saleh  and had lived in Albany since the 1950’s.   Jim was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War.  He was employed for 32 years at the Albany County Department of Social Services and retired just last year, in November of 2024.

Jim was the brother of the late Sam Saleh, Mary Ayers and George Saleh.  He was a devoted uncle to David and Laurie Bunney.  He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and other family members.

A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie with interment to follow at Graceland Cemetery in Albany.  Jim’s family would like to thank all of his friends at the Hilton in Albany and also the Teresian House, especially Janella, Nancy, Samali and the 6th Floor nursing staff.
