Guilderland - Ruth M. Krapf, 95, died Sunday, July 17, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Born in Troy, Ruth was the daughter of the late Eugene and Evelyn Calhoun Crandall. She lived in Colonie for many years and in Guilderland for the past 14 years. Ruth was homemaker and also co-owned the former Phil’s Pastry Shop in Albany with her late husband. As a homemaker, Ruth loved and cherished her time spent with her family and her very special lifelong friends. She was also a very faith based person and loved her church family. She a founding member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Colonie where she was head of the Altar Guild and in charge of the memorial fund. Ruth also was an avid knitter and loved reading and crossword puzzles.

Ruth was the wife of the late Robert Krapf; mother of Bruce Krapf of Agawam, MA and Kathy DiSisto of Colonie; grandmother of Eric, Chad, Geoff, Michael, Susan and Kimberly; and great-grandmother of Rubyanne, Owen, Carolyn and Liam.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2022 at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 49 Kilean Park, Colonie, NY 12205. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park in Schenectady. For those who wish, memorial donations to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church would be appreciated.
