Albany - Lillie Roseborough was born on April 13, 1938 in Rock Hill, SC. She graduated from Emmett Scott High School. She had a strong faith in God. In her youth she was a member of her family church, Foundation AME Zion in Rock Hill, SC. For several years she was a member of Morris Brown AME church in Queens, NY where she also volunteered in the food pantry. Lillie moved to New York in the 1950's. She worked at Ideal toy factory as well as in the pharmaceutical field at both Vitarine and Eon laboratories for over 32 years. Lillie lived in Queens NY for over 40 years, mostly with her daughters Cheryl and Tamiko. In 2011, she moved to Albany, NY where she remained until her passing on May 19, 2020. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Morris and Tamiko Morris of New York; her sister, Ruth Roseborough of Queens, NY; Irma Harris of New York and Tyrone Dunlap of Catawba, SC for whom she served as a surrogate mother; sisters-in-law, Annie Roseborough, Maggie Roseborough and Frances Roseborough, all of South Carolina; 11 nieces and 8 nephews who live in New York and South Carolina; a host of great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was well respected but often misunderstood. Those who knew her will agree that she spoke her mind but always meant well. She was a caring soul who will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace with her love one's who anxiously awaited her arrival: her father, Robert; her mother Hannah; her sister's, Rosa and Annie; and brothers , Robert, James, Allen, Joseph, Samuel and Herbert.
