Voorheesville - James J. Ryan, Jr. , 64, died Saturday, January 30, 2016. Born in Amsterdam, James was the son of Dorothy Mayback Ryan of Voorheesville and the late James J. Ryan, Sr. He worked for many years as a Medical Practice Manager, most recently for Dr. Bilfield in Albany before retiring last year. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, golf and any activities that included spending time with his family. He was a member of the New Scotland Kiwanis and had served as Lieutenant Governor. In addition to his mother, Jim is survived by his wife, Theresa Vitellaro; children, Patrick Ryan (Erin) of Bradenton, FL and Kelly Ryan (Wayne Boomer) of East Greenbush; stepdaughter, Jennifer Amodio of Slingerlands; siblings, Michael Ryan (Claudia) of MA, Mary Farley (Bill) of Binghampton, Anne Hartis (David) of SC, Kathleen Cootware (Donald) of NC and John Ryan (Laura) of Binghampton; grandchildren, Toni Anne, Frankie, Tyler, Ashlynn, Keegan and Connell; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 4 - 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service concluding the evening at 6:30. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Dr #100, Albany, NY 12205 would be appreciated.
