Delmar - Lucille (Traeger) Wixted passed away peacefully on January 14, 2016 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Delmar, at the age of 94. She was the wife of William Wixted who died in 2006. Born in Troy in 1921, Lucille was the daughter of William and Louise (Orth) Traeger. A resident of Troy for most of her life, she was active in her church and many community groups. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, LouAnn and Jim Jendro and Kathy Wixted and Ray Gemme, her grandchildren Jim and wife Kendra Jendro and Beth and husband Brian Noel, and great grandchildren Abby Noel and Maddox Jendro as well as 4 step grandchildren, Michelle and husband Doug Chrisey, Laurie and husband Michael Prater. Dan and wife Lisa Gemme and Chris Hewins, their families, and many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Bill of 63 years, her sister and brother-in-law Grace and Harold Adams, and her dear friends Thelma Murphy and Adelaide Daniels. Lucille’s daughters would like to thank Dr. Eric Gross and his associates, and the staff at Diamond Ridge of Troy, Atria of Guilderland and Good Samaritan, all who contributed to her long life and comfort. Visitation will be held on January 30 at 9:00 am at Saint Lucy/St.Bernedette Church, 109 Grand St., Altamont, 12009 followed at 10:00 am by her Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Lucy/St. Bernadette Church, The Alzheimer’s Association, 4 Pine West Plaza #405, Albany, NY 12205 or LGH Walk for Cancer Care, 295 Varnum Ave, Lowell, MA 01854.
