Voorheesville - Orville E.Wood, 89, of Voorheesville Av. died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Middleburgh, Orville had lived in Voorheesville for the past 62 years. He worked for 37 years as an Orderly at the Albany Medical Center Hospital and also for 35 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Ken Tice and Tony Genovesi. Orville spent his life as a caregiver - whether at his job or for his family and friends. He also loved music and played both the guitar and piano. Orville was predeceased by his wife, Ingrid Patschureck Wood; his sons, William C. and John A. Wood; and one grandchild. He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Lynn Buddenhagen (David) of Glenville and Donna L. Susi (Frank) of Saratoga Springs; his siblings, Virginia Durie, Thomas Wood, Janet Tinkler and David L. Wood; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 2 - 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, 9 Voorheesville Ave., Voorheesville. A service of prayer and remembrance will be held at 6:00 o’clock to conclude the evening. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
