Bethlehem - Philomena “Tillie” Rekart Relyea, 88, of the Good Samaritan Nursing Home died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Born in Portland, Oregon, Tillie was the daughter of the late Anton and Catherine Rekart. She lived for many years in Voorheesville and worked as a telephone operator for AT&T in Albany. In later years, she worked as a secretary at Atlas Copco in Voorheesville. Tillie was a life member of the Boyd Hilton VFW Post 7062 Ladies Auxilary. Tillie was the devoted wife of the late Peter J. Relyea and was also predeceased by all of her siblings. She was an aunt to four generations of nieces and nephews, including those in the Capital District, Pheonix, Portland and Seattle. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 o’clock Monday morning at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the funeral home. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 would be appreciated.
